Hello NY Faith & Justice!
You are all invited to join us for the Sojourners Pentecost 2007 conference in DC, June 3-6. All registration is online. I thought I’d aid our registration process by sending you all the needed links and info to make registration as easy as possible for you. Please feel free to forward this info to others interested in coming along with us to the conference and let us know if you can make it!

Full Registration: $215
Full Registration – Emerging Leaders: $150
Emerging Leader – One Day Only: $75
One Day Only: $100
Conference Discounts and Scholarships:
Folks under 30 should take advantage of the Emerging Leader discount. If you sign up as an Emerging Leader, you’ll be placed in the Emerging Leader track. It will give you additional opportunities to network with some outstanding emerging and established leaders from around the country.
Housing
NY Faith & Justice will be housed at the Potomac House at George Washington University (GW). The GW cost per night for single rooms is $57/night. Double rooms are $32/person/night. Each suite comes with private bath. This option is far cheaper than the Holiday Inn Central whose discounted rate is $169/night.
NOTE: If you have a cheaper option (i.e. staying with a friend, etc.), please feel free to take it. We’ve simply decided to go with the GW option as the NY Faith & Justice default option so that as many of us might be housed together as possible.
Housing Registration is online.
- Click the provided link to register by May 10.
- Once there, click the “GW Housing” link to sign up for housing.
- Click the “Yes” button, then click the “Book a Room Now” button. You’ll be taken to the registration page.
- I recommend those staying at GW use the “Double Room – 3 Nights” option. This will give you housing for the duration of the conference. Select the number of people you want to pay for housing for, then click “Next”.
- On the “Guest Information” page, you have the option of choosing your roommate. Please call the person you want to room with ahead of time to confirm their availability. Once you’ve nailed that down, list your name and your roommate’s name on the Guest Information page and click “Next”. (NOTE: I’ve attached our contact sheet to aid the roommate selection process).
- The final page will give you a summary of your order, ask for your contact information and billing information.
Please remember to register for housing by May 10.
NY Faith & Justice Pentecost 2007 Workshop
During Penetecost 2007, NY Faith & Justice will be partnering with The Boston Faith & Justice Network to lead a workshop on how to build a local faith-based justice movement. I will be co-leading this workshop with Rachel Anderson (Executive Director – Boston Faith and Justice Network). So, please be sure to attend this workshop. Your insights and perspectives will be invaluable to others thinking of launching similar movements around the country.
